from Texas to Belfast to Philadelphia

-An early morning bike ride with my dad. As soon as we started, we realized how much the wind was going to make things more difficult and got more of a workout than was expected. The chilly wind was invigorating.

-Writing a letter to a friend. Remember those? They're so great.

-Watching a charming, witty movie chock full of stars (Katherine Hepburn, Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant), The Philadelphia Story. It was very dialogue-heavy, but that trio pulled it off effortlessly.

Philedelphia story was a great movie. Jimmy S. was raised in the same town my mom was. They vaguely knew him and his dad was such a great guy. They knew the father cause he ran hardware store and they shopped there. The pics are great. Looks like fun.

How interesting! Must've been a small town, with a great local hardware store. Where was it? I've made morning bike rides a bit of a ritual and just love it. It wakes me up even more than (dare I say it) a cup of coffee!

I love that film - it is one of my favorites. I love the scene when Kathryn and her little sis affect that eccentric behavior when they first meet the journalists. :)
