oikoumene

Hello you lovely blog buddies,

I just wanted to let you know that I'm headed to the wonderland of ecumenism and chocolate (otherwise known as Geneva) in the morning for the World Council of Churches Central Committee meeting to serve as a Steward. I'll be away for a couple of weeks. When I'm back, I promise lots of pictures and stories to catch up. Have a great couple of weeks, full of grace in unexpected places.

Peace,
Whitney

"It is at her centre, where her truest children dwell, that each communion is really closest to every other in spirit, if not in doctrine. And this suggests that at the centre of each there is something, or a Someone, who against all divergencies of belief, all differences of temperament, all memories of mutual persecution, speaks with the same voice."

Try the Caillier brand chocolate -
Dessert is a Gianduja chocolate, my favorite. Rayon has honey in it.
Also, try the Ragusa - usually comes in a pack of 3 rectangular sticks - chocolate, praline and whole hazelnuts.
Caillier Branche are also very, very good. Come in packs of five in foil sticks.
Get your fill of real Croissants.
Don't forget to check out the Reformation Monument and Calvin's Chair at St. Peter's Cathedral. Enjoy your time in the land of chocolate, cheese and watches.
